Low Budget Performance Art

The Hooligan, my quiet and contemplative child, has been talking pretty much non-stop since about 11:35 this morning. The jBird, my chatty one, has been curled up reading a book quietly since about the same time.
It's like some sort of Dada performance art piece: I enjoy it, I'm confused by it, and it's giving me a bit of a headache. My maternal instinct fears this inversion of personalities precedes a physical illness, but in the meantime...

The Hooligan, I do believe, has used up all of the words in the house for the day.

Wishing you all peace and love and creative juices and a restful weekend.

  1. I'm sure your Hooligan can come up with a few more words :) And I hope the personality switch is only a precursor to many more fun times in your household!

    1. He's loquacious when he wants to be, that's for sure. Usually it indicates the need for a nap.

  2. Word of warning: we had close to a third of our student population out yesterday and 9 kids were sent home before 11:00 . Nasty but short lived stomach bug flying through the county. I must have washed my hands at least a dozen times while at school yesterday. In my jack of all trades position I am., yes, also the school nurse much of the time....
But I can assure you, those little buggies cannot make their way through the tubes of the internet.

    1. This is the sort of news that sends me running for cover. I'm glad that they don't travel through the tubes.

Love that concept--and have experienced it a couple of times myself over the years. ;)
