I was inadvertently kidnapped by Michel de Montaigne this evening while my husband played iTunes deejay with everything from the Talking Heads to Radiohead in the background.

No, it has never happened to me, and by "it" I mean an event where Talking Heads and Radio Head were simultaneously involved with me. ActuaLLy I know nothing about Radio Head. Time to study ...

ReplyDeleteHe is the Western granddaddy of the personal essay. I had read excerpted quotes from him in the past, but never sat down to read his actual work. I don't know why I waited.
