A Message From The King

Sometimes at night we can hear our neighbor behind us playing this song on the accordion and singing along. It is the kind of wonderful surreal thing that I love about this city.

Perhaps that's where both of my kids caught it.

I'm mopping brows and wrapping and bathing and administering Tylenol at the moment. I'll be back. Until then, enjoy this bit of magnificent jumpsuit madness.

  1. Ok, a couple of things, first I hope everyone at periphery land gets well soon. Second, I can only imagine how lovely those nights must be, and I wonder if you'd consider trading neighbors. Mine is a thirteen years old girl learning to play the trombone.. At least I think that's what that sound is.. Third, I love how natural his voice was. Fourth, that darn smile at 0.29.

    Fever-breaking wishes for Periphery land.

  3. I hope everyone feels better soon! My neighbor has a mariachi band that practices in his garage, and on a warm night, we love to sit outside to listen to the live music. And Elvis....I agree with Larissa, that smile at 0.29, wowzer! Jumpsuit madness and all.

  5. My sister and I got Elvis-fever in our early 20's. We watched all of his movies, listened to his music and even had a poster. I'm sure if I'd been born a decade or so earlier, I'd have been one of those screaming-crying-hair-pulling girls. He had magic.

Hope your monkeys are better soon. Sick kids is a lousy way to start the summer!
